Al Borgo

We booked Al Borgo for one night on our hike on the Via Francigena. On the day of our arrival Filippo contacted us that due to plumbing problems the apartment won't be useable unfortunately. *however* he managed to organize us a wonderful room at another B&B right in the center of the old town of Sarzana. Filippo had already made sure that it was paid for and that everything was organized and the host awaited us at our arrival. This is exactly the kind of service you wish for when travelling and unfortunate things like this happen. Grazie mille, Filippo! ❤️

Large comfortable room with a comfortable bed. The room had air conditioning which I didn’t need to use but visitors in hotter months would be pleased to have it. Pleasant outdoor shaded area to sit. Despite being close to the railway lines, the trains were I frequent and did not run at night so I slept really well.

Very nice room with a small kitchenette and air-con. In a very peaceful area and only a short walk to the train station. Free breakfast was fantastic. Great stay if you plan on visiting the Cinque Terre.

Breakfast was really great! The ladies / staff were very friendly.

Very nice room, comfortable and clean. The host was easy to communicate with and very flexible with our early check out. They kindly left us a self service breakfast. Location was a little hard to get to on foot because of nearby construction.
